It’s easy to make caramelized almonds which you can use on top of cakes, ice creams and to decorate other desserts.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of almonds baked in the oven until brown
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- Some tablespoons of water until sugar is totally wet
Directions:
Put the almonds in an oven tin and bake until browned.
Remove and let them cool down.
Then coarsely grind in them in a food processor or leave them whole if you like.
Place sugar, lemon juice and water in a small pan or frying pan and stir until browned.
Add almonds and mix.
Prepare a wax paper and place caramel until cold.
Break into smaller pieces either by hand or using a food processor.
