Greek Salads

This Spring salad is easy to make with leftover Easter Eggs. This is based on a salad we used to make on Easter day in Cyprus and I have enriched it with more herbs, which makes it delicious and also very healthy.

Horiatiki Salata, which means  village or peasant style salad, is widely known as “Greek Salad” and is a  common component of a Greek meal.

Octopus in Greek Htapodi (χταπόδι), pronounced Hta-POH-dhi, is a Greek word. “Okto” meaning eight and “pous” is the ancient word for foot. Having eight feet (tentacles).

This cabbage and carrot salad is so simple but yet so delicious.  This is a very classic winter salad you will find in restaurants in Greece throughout winter till spring using just a few ingredients.
