I haven’t posted for a few days now and the reason is that I have decided not to blog every day. I have realized that blogging takes a lot of my free time as a consequence of which I have neglected a lot of things such as my painting but also I need more time for my family and for my house work.
These days I’ve been doing a lot of cleaning and tidying up in the kitchen and found out that I have a lot of thing in my pantry and in my deep freezer which I had to dispense with as soon as possible. I found all kinds of leftover nuts from Christmas, chocolates, chocolate sprinkles, spoon sweets, biscuits, wine must (I’ve had it in the cupboard almost a year).
Although we buy all our vegetables fresh I also buy some frozen in case I need something when and if I can’t go shopping. I found frozen mushrooms, artichokes, peas, peppers, corn, pumpkin etc.
I’ve been cooking and making desserts out of these ingredients the past days although it will take some time until I post them as I have a huge list of recipes I have made and which I have not posted yet. If you take a look in the side bar you will see RECIPES COMING UP. All these have been prepared and all I have to do is write about them and translate the recipes for the English blog, which believe me it takes less time to cook than to write about them.
Anyway, apart from cleaning and tidying up at home I decided to tidy up my blogs as well. I realized that if someone wanted to find an old recipe it was very difficult to do so, so I created two sub blogs for each blog and have separated the savory recipes from the sweets. I have named the food blog “Salt and Pepper” and the sweet blog “Sweet Temptations”. (You will see the links below the title). I have done the same for the Greek blog with the same names in Greek.
I have yet to finish the Greek food blog which is only half the way through and have been doing this during the evenings which I have some free time. I need another day to finish and I shall start posting again.
